Man, 49, Hospitalized After Hit-and-run Pedestrian Collision

CANYON COUNTRY, Calif. (May 9, 2023) — A 49-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash at Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.

The collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. on May 9th, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

A driver in a white Acura reportedly struck the man as he was crossing the road and fled the scene without stopping to help the victim, according to The Signal. Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. He was listed in stable condition later the same day.

Authorities continue to search for the suspect in the white Acura and are hoping there are witnesses or anyone with information that may help them solve the case.
