Pedestrian Injured in Fresno Crash Highway 180, Cedar Avenue Off-Ramp

FRESNO, Calif. (Aug. 13, 2026) — A pedestrian suffered major injuries Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on the westbound State Route 180 off-ramp at Cedar Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.

The collision was reported at approximately 1:49 p.m. on August 13, 2026, when the California Highway Patrol received a report of a male pedestrian lying in the middle of the westbound SR-180 off-ramp.

A white van was reported stopped on the right-hand shoulder, and emergency medical services were requested. Responders accessed the scene from the Cedar Avenue off-ramp.

At approximately 2:47 p.m., CHP dispatch reported that the pedestrian had been transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. The incident was subsequently classified as a major-injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian.

The pedestrian’s identity and the circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately available.

The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information about the crash was not immediately released.
