CITY HEIGHTS, San Diego (August 20, 2016) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision on El Cajon Boulevard Saturday morning, according to UT San Diego.
The accident took place about 4:50 a.m., near 49th Street.
As per the article, San Diego police said a man was walking north across El Cajon Boulevard when he was struck by a primer-gray Honda Civic.
The victim, who was believed to be 40 to 50 years old, was immediately transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been yet released pending notification of family.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect car was described as a 2-door 2009 to 2011 model with an apparent damage to its front-end and windshield.
