BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (March 10, 2023) – Ma Virinealiz Alconera Ambal, 61, of Bakersfield, died last month in a pedestrian accident at South Union Avenue and Adams Street in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the traffic accident took place on Tuesday, February 7th at around 6:49 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck the Bakersfield woman in this Southgate neighborhood of Bakersfield. Authorities stated that Ambal was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash. She was crossing the northbound lanes and walked directly into the path of the truck, Bakersfield Now reports.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident Bakersfield
The car hit the person near the intersection and she was knocked down on the ground. Paramedics responded to help the injured woman, but sadly Ma Virinealiz Alconera Ambal died at the scene.
Meanwhile, police stated that the driver initially left the scene, but later returned to the intersection and was cooperating with police officers.
Police closed down the intersection at Union and Adams to conduct an investigation into the cause of the fatal Bakersfield pedestrian accident.
