Pedestrian Struck and Killed Crossing Sepulveda Near LAX

WESTCHESTER, Calif. (July 23, 2026) – A bus struck and killed a pedestrian who was crossing Sepulveda Boulevard early Thursday morning near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The deadly pedestrian accident occurred on July 23rd around 2:03 a.m. on Sepulveda Boulevard at 98th Street, according to a spokesman with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities reported a northbound bus was traveling on Sepulveda Boulevard in the number 3 lane when the vehicle hit the man as he was walking or possibly crawling in a westbound direction across that street.

Detectives are working to determine fault for the collision. Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
