Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident on DiGiorgio Road in Lamont

Man Struck, Killed in Lamont Pedestrian Accident

LAMONT, Calif. (June 3, 2025) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Friday night on DiGiorgio Road, just east of Myrtle Avenue in Lamont.

A driver struck the man around 9:01 p.m. on May 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police officers responded to DiGiorgio Road where the driver, a 24-year-old Lamont woman, had stopped following the crash.

Pedestrian Hit Outside of a Crosswalk on DiGiorgio Road

Investigators determined the woman was driving westbound on DiGiorgio Road in a 2013 black Ford Edge when she struck the victim outside of a marked crosswalk. The man was crossing from the south shoulder of the road in a northbound direction on DiGiorgio Road.

The driver of the Ford told authorities she was unable to avoid hitting the man.

Investigation into Lamont Pedestrian Accident

Sadly, the unidentified pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver stopped nearby and cooperated with the investigation.

Police closed down DiGiorgio Road between Weedpatch Highway and Myrtle Avenue for roughly two hours.

Authorities did not mention whether alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the Lamont pedestrian accident on DiGiorgio Road.
