Man Killed While Walking Across Florence Area Street

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2025) – A 75-year-old man died Sunday in a pedestrian accident while crossing San Pedro Street at 83rd Street in the Florence area of Los Angeles.

The deadly crash occurred on Jan. 4th at 5:49 p.m., according to a Los Angeles Police Department report.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on San Pedro Street when the motorist struck the man as he was walking westbound inside a crosswalk, police said. Unfortunately, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stopped and cooperated with authorities, police said.

The pedestrian’s name will be released after relatives are notified.
