Man Struck by SUV Walking on 110 Freeway in South L.A.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 18, 2020) – An unidentified man was struck and killed Sunday on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles.
The collision was reported about 3:05 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
Police and paramedics responded to the crash scene, just south of Vernon Avenue. Unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP report said.
It’s believed that the man was walking in a northbound direction on or near the number four lane prior to the crash. A driver in a a 2019 Lexus NX300 struck him and then stopped and called 911.
