Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Twentynine Palms Highway was Yucca Man

54-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Late-Night Collision
YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. — A 54-year-old Yucca Valley man was the pedestrian killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle on Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley, authorities said.
The fatal collision occurred at approximately 10:48 p.m. on July 12 at the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Joshua Lane, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian and arrived to find the victim suffering from fatal injuries. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released as authorities continue efforts to notify next of kin.
Officials have not released information about the vehicle involved or the circumstances leading up to the collision. It is also unclear whether the driver remained at the scene or if any arrests have been made.
