Pedestrian Killed in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash at Olive and Rowell Avenues

FRESNO, Calif. (June 4, 2025) — Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident that occurred early Wednesday morning at Olive and Rowell avenues in southeast Fresno.

According to the Fresno Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of Olive Avenue and Rowell Avenue around 4:50 a.m. on June 4th after receiving reports of a person lying in the roadway and bleeding.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man believed to be in his 30s who had been hit by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene before emergency responders arrived.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
