Hit-and-run Suspect Arrested | Pedestrian Killed in Collision

CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. (April 23, 2025) — A driver suspected in a deadly hit-and-run pedestrian crash at Center Street and Castro Valley Boulevard has been arrested, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal collision occurred at around 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22nd, at the Castro Valley intersection, the CHP said.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle whose driver failed to stop and fled the scene.

Paramedics responded and rushed the injured pedestrian to the hospital, but the unidentified person died from their injuries.

Meanwhile, detectives working on the case managed to quickly identify and locate the driver and the involved vehicle. Police arrested the driver on undisclosed charges, however, the person’s identity was not released.
