Pedestrian Killed in Lancaster Collision on Sierra Highway, Avenue J-8

LANCASTER, Calif. (May 14, 2026) – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Station is handling an investigation into a fatal pedestrian accident on Sierra Highway in Lancaster involving a driver in an SUV.

The deadly collision occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13th, near Sierra Highway and Avenue J-8, officials said. Authorities say a man walking eastbound across Sierra Highway outside of a crosswalk was hit by a southbound black SUV, just south of Avenue J-8.

The woman driving the vehicle stopped and someone called 911 for help.

Police and paramedics responded and located the injured man who was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center. Unfortunately, the man later died from his injuries at the hospital.
