Man Killed in Hit-and-Run in Northridge Identified

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (April 10, 2026) – Deondre Deloatch, 29, died Sunday night in a pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver on Roscoe Boulevard in Northridge.

The man was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.

The deadly collision occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 5th on Roscoe Boulevard, just west of White Oak Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities say a driver in a gray 2006 Honda Accord struck the victim in the eastbound lanes of Roscoe Boulevard. The victim became lodged under the vehicle and was dragged a short distance. Meanwhile, the driver of the Honda failed to stop and fled the scene.

Paramedics responded and transported the severely injured man to a hospital, however, he later died from his injuries.
