Jessica Flores Killed | Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI for Deadly Crash
PACOIMA, Calif. (July 8, 2026) – Jessica Flores, 37, died following a pedestrian accident involving a suspected DUI driver in Pacoima on Branford Street between the I-5 and San Fernando Road.
The driver reportedly struck the woman in the 12600 block of Branford Street around 9:13 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A 43-year-old man driving a white pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, and possibly vehicular manslaughter, police said.
Police and Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the crash scene last night. They determined the man’s white pickup truck had struck the pedestrian who was pronounced dead on scene.
Detectives determined the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Branford and hit the woman as she was crossing northbound in the No. 2 lane. Authorities believe the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision.
The driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation, according to the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.
