Semi-Truck Driver Hits Pedestrian on Riverside 91 Freeway

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Feb. 1, 2024) — A semi-truck struck and killed a pedestrian Thursday in a traffic accident on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Riverside.

Police responded to the westbound side of the 91 Freeway at La Sierra Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol and MyNewsLA. It happened at around 12:15 a.m. on Feb. 1st.

It’s unknown what led up to the collision and the report did not mention if the truck driver stopped.

Authorities did not release the identity of the person who died at this time, pending notification of their next of kin.

Finally, police diverted traffic from the area to allow them to conduct an investigation into what happened.

The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
