Pedestrian Killed on Highway 41 in Fresno Identified as Albert Gomez

FRESNO, Calif. (July 10, 2026) –Albert Gomez , 48 , of Woodlake, died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 41 in Fresno back on Wednesday, July 1st, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

The Woodlake man was struck by a Dodge pickup truck around 5 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 41 near Tulare Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Responding police officers located Gomez lying in the middle lane of the roadway following the collision.

Investigators said the driver was not able to avoid hitting the man as he crossed northbound lanes.

Paramedics responded, but the pedestrian died on scene.

Meanwhile, the driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
