Pedestrian Linda Teyechea Killed In Phelan Hit-And-Run Crash on Neilson Road

PHELAN, Calif. (May 4, 2026) — Linda Teyechea, 38, of San Bernardino, died early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Phelan on Neilson Road, authorities said.

According to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office, the victim died at the crash scene at 2:58 a.m. on May 2, 2026.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP Barstow) reported a driver struck the pedestrian and fled the scene on Neilson Road, just east of Sheep Creek Road.

Police from the CHP Victorville Area and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department located the victim lying on the dirt shoulder, the report said.

Detectives from the Victorville CHP determined the woman had been walking in the roadway when a westbound motorist struck her and she landed on the right shoulder of Neilson Road.
