Man Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver
DATE OF COLLISION: Wednesday, October 10th
October 11, 2018- According to Bakersfield Now, a pedestrian man suffered major injuries following a hit-and-run collision last night at the 800 block of Brundage Lane.
According to Bakersfield authorities, the incident occurred at 11:05 p.m. when a man was struck by an undisclosed vehicle whose driver failed to stop and proceeded to flee the scene.
The victim who has not been identified suffered very serious injuries and was transported via ambulance to a medical center, where he remains in critical condition as of Thursday morning.
Hit-and-Run Driver Remains At-Large
At this time, police officials have not located the suspect responsible who remains at-large.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim may have not been in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision, however, it is a motorist’s duty to stop their vehicle after being involved in an auto or pedestrian collision.
No further details have been provided as the investigation is ongoing.
