EL CAJON, California (October 30, 2016) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision Saturday night on East Main Street, according to UT San Diego.
The accident took place about 9 p.m. near South First Street.
As per the article, witnesses told police a man was crossing East Main Street when he was struck by a car which was headed east.
The victim, a man about 45 years old, was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with injuries described as major. His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render assistance and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a late-model, gray or silver Honda Accord with apparent damage to its front end.
Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
