Pedestrian Suffers Major Injuries in Crash

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (June 21, 2024) — A pedestrian was hospitalized with severe injuries after being hit by a car on South Brown Street Thursday night in southeast Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department and paramedics responded to the 200 block of South Brown Street at around 10 p.m. on June 20th, according to KGET News.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital for treatment of major injuries and was listed in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the driver stopped after the collision and is cooperating with the investigation.

Detectives are investigating, but preliminary results indicate that alcohol or drugs are not factors in the crash.
