Pedestrian Struck in Fullerton Hit-and-Run Crash Died on Christmas Day
Lulian DeGeratu, 58, Died at Hospital Days After Crash
FULLERTON, Calif., (Dec. 29, 2025) — Lulian DeGeratu, 58, of Fullerton, was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash at Gilbert Street in Fullerton, then died five days later on Christmas Day.
The incident was reported on Dec. 20th shortly before 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Gilbert Street and Carol Avenue, according to the Fullerton Police Department. Responding officers found an injured man lying in the roadway after being struck by a white, four-door sedan that fled the scene.
Paramedics transported the injured man to a local trauma center where he later died on Dec. 25th, authorities said. He was later identified as Lulian DeGeratu.
Police are actively searching for the suspect who fled in the white car. The vehicle likely has front-end damage. Meanwhile, the crash remains under investigation.
