Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Highway 99 in Tulare County

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 15, 2026) – A pedestrian was killed Friday night when he was struck by a Lexus SUV as he walked along Highway 99 in Tulare County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly car accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 11th, according to the CHP report.
Traffic investigators report the driver in the Lexus was traveling north on Highway 99 when the man allegedly walked into the path of the SUV, just south of Avenue 384.
The right side of the SUV struck the man, resulting in fatal injuries to the pedestrian.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Lexus was not hurt in the crash, the CHP said. Detectives working on the case will determine fault for the Highway 99 accident.
