Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Kiefer Boulevard in Rosemont

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif., (August 26, 2026) — A pedestrian was struck and killed late Tuesday night in the Rosemont area on Kiefer Boulevard at Arderly Court in East Sacramento.
The fatal collision occurred on August 25th at approximately 10:51 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities detailed that the accident involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian at this intersection due to unknown circumstances.
Emergency response units were dispatched immediately, with the first units arriving on the scene at approximately 11:02 p.m. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The motorist stopped and the vehicle was towed for evidence.
The Sacramento Police Department is actively investigating this tragic incident. They have requested that anyone with additional information or who may have witnessed the event come forward to assist in their inquiries.
