MONTEREY PARK, California (November 18, 2016) – Meiping Lin died and, three others were hospitalized after a car rammed pedestrians at a bus stop at the intersection of Garfield and Garvey avenues, according to reports by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and an article by SGV Tribune.
The crash took place Friday morning at the intersection when the silver Toyota Rav4 and two minivans collided. The silver Toyota plowed into the bus stop where it struck three pedestrians.
The crash resulted in fatal injuries to one pedestrian identified as 68-year-old Lin. Two other pedestrian were rushed to a hospital in unspecified condition. And lastly, the driver of the silver car was also hospitalized.
Police are investigating the circumstances to determine liability.
