Woman, 2 Children Hit by Vehicle in Crash
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2023) — A woman and two children were injured in a pedestrian accident Thursday night on Pocket Road in Sacramento.
An eastbound motorist reportedly veered off the roadway and hit the victims at around 6 p.m. on Nov. 30th, according to Fox 40 News.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the 8100 block of Pocket Road and located the driver from the vehicle along with the woman and her two children, KCRA 3 reports.
The woman sustained major injuries and the children had non-life threatening injuries. They were all transported to a hospital for further treatment. The driver of the overturned vehicle was also taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities closed down an eastbound lane on Pocket Road between Greenhaven Drive and Dutra Bend Drive to conduct an investigation into what happened.
The Sacramento Police Department is heading up the investigation. It’s unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs played a role in the collision.
