Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle in Crash on Rosemead Boulevard in Montebello

MONTEBELLO, Calif. (Sept. 9, 2026) – Several pedestrians, including one working as a street vendor, were struck by a vehicle involved in a crash with another motorist Sunday morning on Rosemead Boulevard in Montebello.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6th on Rosemead Boulevard, just south of Durfee Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances, and one of them went off the roadway and hit the pedestrians.
The second vehicle involved in the collision wound up in a nearby riverbed, authorities said. The Montebello Fire Department responded and extricated the person from the vehicle, but it’s unknown if they were hospitalized.
Meanwhile, the pedestrians all suffered minor injuries, but it’s unknown if any were taken to a hospital, according to the CHP dispatch log. It’s unknown if the driver fhe vehicle that hit the pedestrians was injured.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
