Man Dies at Hospital After Crash Near East Washington Street
Petaluma, CA (October 27, 2022) – Pedro Gonzalez Martinez, a 60-year-old local resident, suffered fatal injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on North McDowell Boulevard.
The Press Democrat News reported a vehicle struck Martinez a few blocks north of East Washington Street. Preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle was leaving from the 333 block of North McDowell. As the car turned right onto North McDowell, it hit the male pedestrian.
Due to the force from the impact, the man fell down and hit his head on the roadway.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on North McDowell Boulevard in Petaluma
Rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after 12:42 p.m. According to the article published online, an ambulance rushed the injured party to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa. Sadly, the patient succumbed to his injuries and eventually passed away. Sheriff’s Office’s Coroner Unit later identified the deceased as Pedro Gonzalez Martinez.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate at this time the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on North McDowell Boulevard in Petaluma.
