Police officials responded to a 3-car collision at 9:35 p.m. between a 2016 Mazda 3, an Acura, and a Chevy.
Daniel Ruiz, 27, was the driver of the Acura who ran a stop sign and slammed into and broadsided the Mazda driven by Tanner Jacobsen, 26.
Jacobsen’s vehicle was then struck by Alejandro Valenzuela, 22, after the impact of the initial crash pushed the 26-year-old vehicle into oncoming traffic.
Per the article, Jacobsen’s vehicle was completely mangled as pieces of the vehicles were scattered all over the road.
Tanner Jacobsen was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with various injuries.
Ruiz was also injured as he was taken to the hospital as well with complaints of his head.
Although injured, it was unclear if Valenzuela was taken to the hospital.
