PERRIS, California (March 18, 2016) — A male bicyclist was injured Friday night when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver at Old Elsinore Road and Cedar Street in Riverside County, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported about 10:27 p.m. and resulted in a response by the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department. The report indicated there were injuries involved, but the extent of those injuries was not disclosed.
Just minutes after the bicyclist was hit, a second crash occurred at the intersection involving three motorists.
Police are at the scene investigating the cause of the crashes and are searching for the suspect who struck the bicyclist.
