PERRIS, California (Sunday, October 11, 2015) – A hit-and-run occurred between a vehicle and pedestrian on Aloha Road and San Jacinto Avenue. Another vehicle may have accompanied the suspect’s vehicle. Neither stopped to help the victim, according to a witness.
Paramedics from the local fire department gave chest compressions and performed heroic measures to resuscitate him. Unfortunately, he died of his injuries at the scene of the accident.He was later identified as Jose Guadalupe Chavez Cruz, 40, by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The accident was first reported at 7:17 p.m. this evening, according to the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino. Police are investigating the incident. No further details have been released at this time.
