PERRIS, California (February 15, 2015) — Henry Perez-Espinoza, 29, of Perris was killed Friday night in a pedestrian accident on Perris Boulevard, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 8:30 p.m., Perez-Espinoza was pushing a shopping cart full of recyclable cans in the 1600 block of North Perris Boulevard when he was hit by a driver in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. He suffered major head injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as Herbert Collins. He called 911 for assistance after the crash.
Police are heading up an investigation into the crash to determine liability. Witnesses are asked to contact the Perris Sheriff’s Station, (951) 210-1000.
