1 Seriously Injured in Perris Hit-and-Run on Southbound 215 Freeway Tuesday
PERRIS (August 11, 2020) – An alleged hit-and-run collision along the 215 Freeway seriously injured at least one person late Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, officers received a call about the accident at approximately 10:25 p.m.
A CHP patrol vehicle and a silver car collided for an unknown reason on the southbound 215 Freeway at Harley Knox Boulevard. One of the vehicles involved caught fire upon impact.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to one victim who suffered major injuries as a result of the crash.

Medical personnel rushed the patient to the hospital with complaint of back pain. The name and condition of the wounded party at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, the female driver of the silver colored car did not stop to render aid, continued southbound and was last seen exiting Ramona Expressway.
The report log mentioned that officers later impounded a 2016 silver Toyota Camry involved in the wreck. CHP did not specify if the hit-and-run suspect was arrested.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
