At Least 1 Hurt in Collision Near Harley Knox Boulevard Friday
Perris, CA (January 17, 2022) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 215, also known as Escondido Freeway, on January 14.
The California Highway Patrol group reported an Audi sedan rolled over after colliding with a semi truck on I-215. Initial records indicated the accident took place in the southbound side of the freeway near the Harley Knox Boulevard offramp.
Shortly after 12:39 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders extricated all victims found trapped in the wreckage. After checking their conditions, officials confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the incident. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
The CHP log mentioned the Audi continued driving after the crash. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the identity and location of the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation is underway on the car accident on Interstate 215 in Perris.
