Teen Pedestrian Luis Alonso Fatally Injured in Crash
PERRIS, CALIFORNIA (March 31, 2016) – Luis Alonso, 15, of Perris, was killed when he was struck by a gray Dodge Charger as he attempted to cross against a red light on North Perris Boulevard Tuesday evening, according to the Riverside Sheriff-Coroner.
The accident happened at around 8:00 p.m.
Preliminary record stated that the vehicle was traveling southbound on the roadway when it suddenly hit a pedestrian.
The teenager was allegedly crossing against a red light, as mentioned in the report.
Responding paramedic team was immediate to rescue the patient. The teen was transported to a nearby medical facility to be treated for major injuries and he was listed in critical condition. The following day the teenager died of his injuries at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the involved 32-year-old male motorist was not wounded in the smash.
