PERRIS, California (April 2, 2016) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision near the area of Old Elsinore and Aloha roads on Saturday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP received a report about a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in front of 22540 Old Elsinore Road at 8:05 p.m.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Riverside County Regional Medical Center with major injuries. The name of the patient has not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP logged the incident as a hit-and-run, however, it was mentioned in the dispatch that the car involved stopped following the crash.
Authorities will continue to investigate the accident.
