Person Riding Scooter Struck on Boulevard Way in Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (August 27, 2026) — A person riding a scooter was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning on Boulevard Way in Walnut Creek, according to preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported on August 27th at approximately 10:29 a.m. at Boulevard Way and Palana Court. CHP dispatch records initially described the incident as a vehicle versus bicyclist collision and reported that the roadway was blocked.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and at approximately 10:42 a.m., dispatchers reported that a fire crew had taken the scooter rider from the scene. A medical transport was subsequently requested.
The circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately available. It was also unclear whether anyone else was injured.
The crash remains under investigation. Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area while emergency crews responded to the scene.
