PESCADERO, California (February 10, 2017) – Per the San Jose Mercury News, Kevin Archibald, 49, of Redwood City, has been identified as the victim who died of his injuries Sunday suffered from a car crash Friday, February 10th.
The accident involving two vehicles occurred about 9:20 p.m., just north of San Mateo County line.
Per the Mercury News, Kevin Archibald was the driver of a northbound Volkswagen who was struck head-on by a DUI driver identified as Jazz Hayhurst, 28, of Healdsburg, after he crossed over the double yellow.
Archibald was seriously injured and taken to Stanford Hospital. He remained in critical care before sadly passing away Sunday of his injuries.
Hayhurst who suffered major injuries including two broken legs has since been arrested and will be jailed at San Mateo County jail. Police officials disclosed that he was under the influence of drugs.
