Semi-Truck, Car in Crash on Lakeville Highway
PETALUMA, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2023) — A head-on Petaluma car accident happened Thursday afternoon on Lakeville Highway/State Route 116 at Stage Gulch Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the southbound lanes near the fire station at around 1:37 p.m. on Dec. 7, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a semi-truck and a red Mazda CX3 were involved in the collision. The big rig truck reportedly pulled over and stopped. He exited his vehicle and walked back towards toe Mazda to check on its driver. The car sustained major front-end damage and had a left front broken axle.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help at least one person injured in the crash, but there are no further details.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Lakeville Highway.
