Major Injury Collision Near Lakeville Highway Offramp Wednesday
Petaluma, CA (January 19, 2022) – At least two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said two or more vehicles collided with each other in the southbound side of the freeway in Petalumas. The crash took place in the area near Lakeville Highway offramp.
Shortly after 1:50 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found a silver Toyota Tacoma flipped on its roof. Another vehicle drifted off the roadway, and came to a rest at the embankment. Additional details on the make and model of the cars involved in the wreck have not been discussed thus far.

Medical personnel reportedly attended to all possible victims in the crash. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed two people sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. The names of the victims remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash on Highway 101 in Petaluma.
