Man and Woman Injured in Petaluma Crash on Adobe Road
PETALUMA, CA (January 20, 2023) – A DUI head-on crash left two people injured on Adobe Road in the city of Petaluma.
According to an article published by The Argus Courier, the accident took place early Friday. Officers reported the wreck on January 20 at around 1 a.m.
The incident happened when a Ford Fusion was going north on Adobe Road in Petaluma. At the same time, a Subaru Forester was traveling south.
The California Highway Patrol said the Ford then swerved into the southbound lanes. In the process, the car slammed head-on into the Subaru.
Drunk Driver Hits Another Car
The two cars crashed between Lynch and Corona roads. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the two occupants of the Forester hurt.
The 65-year-old Fairfield man driving the Subaru sustained major injuries while his passenger, a 63-year-old Fairfield woman, survived with minor to moderate injuries.
Medical personnel rushed both victims to the Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, the male driver of the Ford ended up hospitalized with minor injuries. CHP determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and soon arrested him.
Officers forced a stretch of Adobe Road to shut down following the wreck. The Petaluma crash is still under investigation.
