1 Badly Injured in Petaluma DUI Crash on McDowell Boulevard Near Scott Street
PETALUMA, CA (March 7, 2022) – One was badly injured after a DUI head-on crash on McDowell Boulevard in Petaluma.
According to an article published by The Press Democrat, the accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 10 p.m.
The incident happened on March 5 when a vehicle was going north on North McDowell Boulevard in northern Petaluma. At the same time, another car was traveling south.
2 Cars Collide
Police said the two vehicles then collided head-on near Scott Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found one driver hurt.
The patient sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police determined that the other motorist was under the influence of alcohol when he hit the other car. They soon arrested the man for felony DUI.
The report did not disclose the names of the victim and the suspect. Officers forced a stretch of North McDowell Boulevard to shut down following the wreck.
The Petaluma crash is still under investigation.
