1 Injured in Petaluma Car Accident at McDowell Bouelvard and Washington Street
PETALUMA (September 30, 2018) – One was injured after an alleged DUI hit-and-run crash at McDowell Boulevard and Washington Street on Saturday, according to The Press Democrat.
The accident involving two vehicles took place at about 11:35 a.m.
As per the article, police said 53-year-old Gabino Gumaro Carreno-Lopez was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe when he struck a vehicle that was stopped at a red light on South McDowell Boulevard at East Washington Street.

Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the passenger of the stopped car who suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. The name of the victim was not released.
Meanwhile, Carreno-Lopez fled after the wreck but was later found and arrested on Maria Drive near Park Lane. The Petaluma man was believed to be drunk at the time, having twice the 0.08 percent legal limit to drive.
The suspect was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury and felony hit-and-run causing injury.
