Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 101 Near Petaluma Boulevard
PETALUMA, CA (October 1, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 101 near Petaluma Boulevard.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place on Tuesday morning. According to Officers reported the wreck at about 7:17 a.m.
The incident happened on September 27 when the rider of a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a gray Nissan Altima collided for an unknown reason in Petaluma.
CHP said the two crashed on the northbound side of Highway 101 near Petaluma Boulevard.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Lakeville Highway. They found the motorcyclist who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the incident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Petaluma Boulevard after the wreck.
