Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 101 Near Petaluma Boulevard
PETALUMA, CA (November 22, 2021) – A pedestrian was severely injured after a crash on Highway 101 in Petaluma.
According to an article published by the KRON 4 News, the accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision at around 11:34 p.m.
The incident happened on November 20 when a male pedestrian was walking on Highway 101 in Petaluma. At the same time, a Toyota RAV4 was going south.
The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, the car struck him near Petaluma Boulevard North.
Pedestrian Hit by Car in Petaluma
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the ground. He sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Toyota stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the southbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Petaluma pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
