
Pedestrian Peter Escalante, 55, Killed in Van Nuys Crash at Oxnard and Woodman
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 4, 2023) – Peter Escalante was killed after a pedestrian crash at Oxnard Street and Woodman Avenue in Van Nuys.
The coroner’s office identified the 55-year-old Van Nuys man as the victim of the fatal accident which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Peter Escalante was crossing southbound on Oxnard Street at Woodman Avenue in the Van Nuys neighborhood. At the same time, a vehicle was going west.
Man Hit by Car
Los Angeles police said for an unknown reason, the driver struck him. The Daily News and FOX 11 News wrote that the collision occurred on February 3 at around 10:15 p.m.
Peter Escalante died at the scene of the pedestrian accident. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced the corner of Oxnard and Woodman to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the Van Nuys pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
