Detective Injured in Collision at E and 4th Street
Santa Rosa, CA (February 2, 2023) – Police arrested 56-year-old Peter Rochelle following a suspected DUI car crash that happened in the area of E and 4th Street, the Press Democrat News reported.
Our sources indicated two vehicles collided at the intersection in Santa Rosa on February 1, Wednesday. Preliminary investigation revealed Rochelle was driving a Nissan Titan heading north on E Street. When the Titan entered the intersection, it slammed into a vehicle heading west on 4th Street.
The accident took place at approximately 7 p.m. When emergency crews arrived, they rendered aid to both the detective and Rochelle. The article published online mentioned the detective sustained minor injuries, and received medical attention at the scene.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Santa Rosa Car Accident
Meanwhile, investigators performed sobriety tests and eventually determined Peter Rochelle was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Police then arrested the suspect on suspicion of felony DUI.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
