Phang Cong Le Killed in Fatal Crash; 10 Others Injured on 5 Freeway
According to the Pasadena Star, a fatal crash took place Tuesday, April 25th, on northbound Interstate 5 freeway resulting in the death of a Phang Cong Le, 41, of Arizona, and injuries to 10 others.
The collision occurred at in the morning and involved eight total vehicles.
Authorities are attempting to piece together what exactly took place as it remains unclear whether Phang Cong Le triggered the collision or if he was hit by another vehicle causing him to spiral of control and into other vehicles.
Phang Cong Le who was the operator of a 2004 Freightliner tractor-trailer was pronounced dead at the scene.
A total of 10 others were injured including a woman, 25, of Chatsworth, was rushed to USC Med Center with significant trauma injuries. Her condition has not been updated.
A dog was also found inside the truck of driven by Le which also perished in the crash.
