3 Injured in Crash at Phelan and Sheep Creek Roads
PHELAN, CA (March 11, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash at Phelan and Sheep Creek roads in Phelan.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck on March 11 at about 7:06 a.m.
The incident happened when a white Jeep SUV and a gray pickup truck collided for an unknown reason in the community. The two cars crashed at the intersection of Phelan and Sheep Creek roads.
The California Highway Patrol said the SUV obtained major front-end damage upon impact. The pickup came to a rest in the landscaping of a gas station nearby with major damage to its passenger side.
2 Cars Collide
The driver of the truck ended up trapped inside the vehicle as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed them from the wreckage.
An air ambulance flew the patient to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment. A ground ambulance rushed two other victims for further aid.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and the extent of the injuries they sustained in the accident.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Phelan and Sheep Creek roads to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
