1 Seriously Injured in Phelan Crash on Highway 138 Near State Route 2
PHELAN, CA (January 16, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 138 near State Route 2 in Phelan.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:39 a.m.
CHP said at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Phelan. They crashed on the westbound side of Highway 138 near State Route 2.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the two cars as a black Nissan Altima and a Chrysler. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found a male occupant who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 138 to shut down near State Route 2 following the wreck.
The cause of the Phelan crash is still under investigation.
