Man Injured in Phelan Crash at Sheep Creek and Smoke Tree Roads
PHELAN, CA (December 2, 2022) – One was airlifted after a car crash at Sheep Creek Road and Smoke Tree Road in Phelan.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:48 a.m.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department said a white sedan and a Prius collided for an unknown reason in Phelan. The two crashed at the intersection of Sheep Creek and Smoke Tree roads in Phelan.
2 Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol said both cars went 20 feet off the roadway as a result of the collision. The white sedan obtained major driver-side damage while the Prius ended up with minor front-end damage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed the trapped male driver of the white vehicle from the wreckage.
A helicopter flew the man to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Sheep Creek and Smoke Tree roads to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Phelan crash is still under investigation.
